Beverly Vaillancourt Obituary

Beverly A. Vaillancourt, 79, of New Ipswich, NH, died peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 at her home after a period of failing health.

Mrs. Vaillancourt was born in Jaffrey, NH on September 14, 1936, daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Wilson) Bosley. She was raised in Jaffrey and was a 1954 graduate of Conant High School

Mrs. Vaillancourt began working as a secretary for New Hampshire Ball Bearing and had even driven school buses briefly after her husband died at a young age. Her passion was banking and finance; she began her career in banking at the Mason Village Savings Bank in New Ipswich and worked at the same physical location until she retired from what is now known as TD Bank after she had endured many different acquisitions, mergers and bank names. In 1978 Mrs. Vaillancourt was elected as treasurer of the Town of New Ipswich, a responsibility which she took very seriously and was still actively serving in the position when she died.

For enjoyment, Mrs. Vaillancourt spent time reading, knitting and crocheting, and serving on the Sturn-Burton Lecture Committee. Beverly also belonged to the Red Hats Society and the book club at the library, and always enjoyed volunteering at the St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank at Sacred Heart Church. She will be missed at the polls soon as she was also serving as the Registrar of the Checklist of voters in New Ipswich

Beverly is survived by her three loving children; her son Robert and his wife Paula Vaillancourt of Mason, NH, her daughter Patricia and her husband Harry Philbrick of Waldoboro, ME and her son Mark and his wife Kimberly Vaillancourt of New Ipswich; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister Kathleen and her husband Norman Clark of Dublin, NH; her brother Dennis Bosley of Bangor, ME and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Napoleon G. Vaillancourt in 1973.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) Jaffrey, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Wilfred Deschamps on Monday, August 1st, 2016 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 15 High Street, Greenville, NH. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Ipswich.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Vaillancourt's family would prefer memorial donations be made in her name to the St. Vincent de Paul Sacred Heart Food Pantry of Greenville, NH. 603-878-0518

Sorry to hear about Mrs. Vaillancourt. I will always remember her as she was at the bank for many years there, and of course afterwards as we all live locally.
I didn't know about the funeral until just now- and my prayers are with the family and friends.
I have nothing but good memories about this wonderful lady.
