Jerald Myers Obituary
URBANA – Jerald Lee "Jerry" Myers, 65, of Urbana, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, in his residence.
He was born January 3, 1949, in Urbana, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Jerry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching NASCAR racing, the Ohio State Football and basketball games. He never knew a stranger and was always telling jokes. Jerry was always searching for big foot.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa (Kerns) Myers, his sons, Christopher L. Myers, Brian P. (Lisa) Myers and Gabriel S. Myers, his grandchildren, Justin Myers, Kohlton Myers, Leslie Saylor, Aliza Myers, Rebecca Myers, Allison Myers and Katelyn King, his brothers, Dennis (Jerri) Myers, Rick Myers, Fred (Sherry) Myers, Tim (Betty) Myers, John Myers, brother and sisters-in-law, Richard (Bonnie) Kerns, Phil (Sara) Kerns and Jim (Sandy) Kerns, aunts and uncles, Marlyn Myers, Shirley Alford and Peggy Kerns, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred D. and Mary K. (Bush) Myers, and a brother, James Myers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Services are entrusted to VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Memorial contributions may be made to Vernon Funeral Home, 235 Miami St., Urbana, Ohio 43078, to help offset funeral expenses.

Uncle Jerry you will be missed. Theresa always remember nothing you love is lost. Not really. Things, people–they always go away sooner or later. You can't hold them anymore than you can hold moonlight. But if they've touched you, if they're inside you, then they're still yours. The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold inside your heart.

My love and prayers go out to all of Jerry's family in this sad and tragic time. He was always so kind to me and always had a smile of his face. I just waved at him last week as we rode by as he sat on the porch swing. It saddens me to know that will be the last time I see his ornary face.
