Chad D. Roberts Obituary
Chad D. Roberts 1977 - 2018
UTICA - Chad D. Roberts, 41, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2018 at home.
He was born in New Hartford on June 5, 1977, the son of Richard and Linda Ferguson Roberts and was a 1994 graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School. Later on, Chad attended MVCC and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY Cobleskill.
He was the owner and operator of Purity Produce in Bridgewater, growers of hydroponic vegetables.
Chad was a free spirited individual who has lived life on the edge since he was a young boy. In high school he participated in soccer and playing the piano with passion, but it was the sports of downhill skiing and downhill biking that gave him his thrills as an adult.
He was the type that placed others needs above his own and always sided with the underdog.
Chad is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Linda; his brother, Christopher Roberts; his nephew, Evan Roberts; and special cousins, Eric Bullock, Bridgette Lombino and Daryl Ferguson, who was very attentive to Chad's needs. He also leaves special friends, Chad Cardillo and Tony Demkowich; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chad was a victim of a life altering stroke in 2013, but due to strong therapies and the miracle of stem cell treatment, he progressed quite well until his passing.
Chad's Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 15 at 12:00 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St., Sauquoit. His family will receive family and friends from 10:00 until the time of the service. Dress is casual.
In lieu of flowers, please perform a random act of kindness for someone in Chad's memory.
