ENCINITAS, CA - Danielle Strebel, 29, went in peace on October 28, 2016, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous 8-month battle with ovarian cancer. Her striking smile, beautiful laughter and endless compassion for others will be dearly missed by so many.
Born on November 1, 1986, in Boston, MA, Dani was raised on Oneida Lake, NY, she attended Camden CSD and graduated with honors. Dani enjoyed track, field hockey and downhill skiing.
After working in the hospitality industry in Las Vegas for many years, she relocated to San Diego to begin a new chapter with the love of her life, Mike Jones, and her beloved beagle, Betty White. After her move, Dani pursued a career in real estate as a realtor at Pacific Sotheby's International. She was exceptionally driven and had a remarkable affection for life.
Dani had a love for fashion, interior decorating, event planning, entertaining and traveling. Dani had a special place in her heart for animals. Above all else, she was selflessly devoted to her friends and family. Her extraordinary circle of friends spanned from coast to coast. She was a doting aunt and godmother to her nieces and nephews and Dani found great joy in helping others.
Her beautiful soul touched countless people during her 29 years on earth. Dani is survived by her soul mate, Mike Jones; her mother, Debby Strebel; father, Brendan Fitzgerald; brother, James Strebel, wife Elizabeth and their two children; sister, Dawn Fitzgerald-Becker, husband Jeffrey and their two children; sister, Katarina Strebel and her three children; Uncle Rick Strebel and family; Uncle Steve Strebel and family; Aunt Tina Waskiewicz and family; and her dearest friend, Anna Hadyk, husband Richard Moore and their four children. Also, missing Dani is her loyal and faithful Betty White.
Memorial services will be held at Dragon Ridge Country Club, 522 S. Stephanie St., Henderson, NV 89012, on November 13th, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. and at Forest Hill Cemetery, 2201 Oneida St., Utica NY 13501, on November 19th, with a memorial service at 10 a.m. and burial immediately to follow.
