WILLIAMSBURG - Brenda Ann Morris, 65, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Hospital. Brenda loved baking, however, it did not compare to the love she had for her grandchildren. She also adored her Pastor Philip Neubia, First Lady Gerona Neubia and church family of Power House of Praise Church of God and Christ. She was born June 20, 1955, to the late Mr. Eugene and Mrs. Doris Mitchell Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Tomeka Morris. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted daughter, Cheerie Morris, son Shanon Morris of Williamsburg; one brother Kenneth Thomas (Delilah) of Boca Raton, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren with one more on the way; 3 nieces (including a loyal niece Tania Moore of Chesapeake) 2 nephews and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021.

Brenda was always a soft spoken person even in school. We lost contact after graduation from high school so to reunite with her at PHOP was a honour. I would make sure I had church unlocked because Brenda was always the first one there ready for Sunday School and to Praise the Lord. I will truly miss my friend, classmate and Sister in Christ. Love you Brenda, Rest in The Kingdom

Sis. Brenda always had a smile on her face and had such a sweet spirit. My kids and I loved picking her up or dropping her off to/from church some Sunday’s. She loved her coffee...we had that in common, so it would make me happy when she came to my job and ask me to make her a cup of coffee. She will truly be missed. Condolences and prayers to the Morris family. I’m praying for God’s peace and comfort during this time. I’m also praying for the Powerhouse of Praise COGIC family. We love you Sis. Brenda

The memories of Brenda will never be forgotten. As a Sunday school teacher at Powerhouse of Praise I have never had a student so faithful as Brenda. I would arrive at Church on aSunday morning and She was already there waiting on me. There was times when it was snowing or raining and I get there Brenda was waiting outside at the door in the cold after just coming from Dialysis. I don’t no anyone that love to hear the word of God that much to be as persistent and faithful as Brenda. Although se didn’t have much to say her present meant a lot to me. She would feel so bad when ever she missed Sunday school. I would like to present Brenda Morris as the Honorary student fir the year 2019, 2020
