Shantel Dobson Obituary
Shantel Deneen Dobson died suddenly on Sunday, July 10, 2011. Her life's journey began on July 29, 1993, the daughter of Althea and Calvin Dobson Sr. of Williamsburg.
At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and became a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Charles, City. She served her church as a member of the Youth Choir and the choreographer of the Praise Dance Team.
In June, she graduated from Warhill High School, where she was very active. Cheerleading was her passion, and she was a member of the Competition and Varsity Cheerleaders teams. She also was a member of Project Discovery.
She had been accepted into Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., where she planned to attend this fall, continuing her education in the field of psychology.
She was a high-spirited young lady who really loved and enjoyed life. She made friends wherever she went. Her big smile and wonderful personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving, devoted parents, Althea and Calvin Dobson Sr.; her caring brother, Calvin L. Dobson Jr. (Brendy); her grandparents, Bernice and Ernest Dobson Sr., all of Williamsburg; her maternal grandmother, Elder Lillian M.
