Kathy English
December 11, 2012
Dear Sandra, My mother, Brenda Carriere and I, her daughter, Kathy English were very sad to hear about Adrian's passing. My mother is too ill to contact you herself. A long time ago, I took Adrian's class on the Sociology of Education. I have yet to meet a man more eloquent and informed as Adrian. He was truly a scholar and gave me an insight on what being educated could really mean.

Deeply saddened to learn that Adrian has left us. We were colleagues for many years. I am returning to Vancouver on Sunday evening and hope to pay my respects on Tuesday.
