LOWNDES, Sydney
August 8, 1930 - February 1, 2016
With his wife by his side, Sydney peacefully passed into the presence of his Lord on February, 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Survived by his wife of 59.5 years, Dorene Lowndes, son David (Lisa) Lowndes, son Daniel (Suzanne) Lowndes, daughter Maureen (David) Smith, granddaughters Jessica and Jacqueline Lowndes, Pam (Bill) Blayney and Kaitlyn Smith, grandson Rick Smith, great- grandson Deegan Blayney, great-granddaughters Elyssa and Seanna Blayney and predeceased by grandson Michael Smith. Sydney spent his life as a School Teacher and an Ordained Minister. He will be remembered as a gentle, caring, faithful man, full of integrity with an unconditional love for his family, friends and his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. A celebration of Sydney's life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2:00 p.m. at Bible Fellowship - Horizon Church, 15100 66A Avenue, Surrey, BC. Syd Lowndes was a wonderful Man of God who was handy with a hammer, an encouraging word and a ready smile. He ministered to so many on so many levels. We are praying for you Dan and Dave. Bless you.
