SWANGARD Doris 1914 to 2008 It is with great sadness that the Swangard Family announces the passing of our mother, Doris Swangard on October 16th, 2008 at the Crescent Gardens Retirement Community in Surrey, B.C. at the age of 94 years. Born on April 26, 1914 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Doris married Erwin Swangard in 1937, moving to Vancouver in 1943 where she spent the next 65 years of life as an ardent Vancouver citizen and a lifelong Canucks fan. She was predeceased by her husband Erwin in 1993. She will be greatly missed by her three sons, Trevor (Marianne) Swangard of Redmond, Washington, Graham (Mary) Swangard of Kitchener, Ontario and Randy (Abbie) Swangard of Eugene, Oregon. In addition, she has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Dan Swangard, New York, New York, Jill (Jerome) Slobojan (Courtney and Gabriel), Redmond, Washington, Todd (Lestra) Swangard, Kitchener, Ontario, Keith (Amanda) Swangard, Kitchener, Ontario, Matthew (Debbie) Swangard (Eryn, Lucas, Michael), Kitchener, Ontario, Paul (Annette) Swangard, (Annabel and Ella), Eugene, Oregon and Sara Swangard, Portland, Oregon. At the request of Doris no public service will be held. The family requests that any donations be made to your favoured charity in her memory. Fraser Heights Chapel 604-589-2559
