Dorothy DAYNARD

DAYNARD _ Dorothy passed away June 25, 2003 shortly after her 90th birthday. Born in Moose Jaw, Sask., she moved to Vancouver in 1940. Predeceased by loving husband John; son David; sisters Margaret (Don) Ryan and Norma Wygle; brothers Alan and James Renton. She is survived by son Alan (Lynne) Renton; sister Jean Renton; sisters-in-law Ruth Renton; brother-in-law Brien Wygle, and all her husband's extended family. Auntie Dorothy will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She loved golf, bowling, bridge, knitting, volunteering and traveling around the world meeting new people. Dorothy was the first woman to obtain a pilot's license in Saskatchewan, which showed her adventurous spirit. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 602 Kingsway (1 block west of Fraser) Vancouver. The family would like to thank all who cared for Dorothy the past few years in Windermere Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada.
