Ev SMITH

SMITH _ Ev (Gladys Evelyn) nee SONDER. June 15, 1926 - October 10, 2002. Ev died peacefully at her residence, the Glengarry Hospital, Victoria, BC. Ev was born in Vanguard, Sk., and later moved to Regina where she completed her secretarial training. She was also a long time resident of Vancouver, BC, where Ev and her husband Dick owned and operated Western Direct Mail Services for many years. Ev was predeceased by her parents Henry and Margaret Sonder and her loving husband Dick (Richard Harkness) (1981), brother Colin (Dooley) Sonder (1993), sister Irene Fairfield (2002) and George Fairfield (1994). Also nephews Ross Fairfield (1971) and Kent Sonder (1985). Fond memories of Ev remain in the hearts of Faye Sonder of Swift Current, Sk., Penny (Murray) Janis of Glen Bain, Sk., Shelley (Mike) Daniel of Vanguard, Sk., Scott (Donnette) Sonder of Saskatoon, Sk., and George (Gail) Fairfield of Victoria, BC and Shari (Ron) Griffis of Nanaimo, BC. Cremation - No Service.
