Two days short of his 70th birthday. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends and has finally achieved peace and comfort with his higher power. Glen will be forever remembered by his wife Eleanor, 3 children; Brent (Susan), Shannon (Rob) and his adopted daughter Kim (Mitch). He will be missed by many including his 3 grandchildren; (Cassie, Gavin and Taylor); his siblings Ruth (Leroy), Bob (Jan) and Judy. One of his proudest moments was when he coached his son, Brent, to victory in the 2000 World Curling Championship. He was respected in the curling world by many. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at McKenney Creek Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 25th, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at Royal City Curling Club, 75 East 6th Avenue, New Westminster, BC. Eleanor and family,
Colin & I will miss Glen dearly and are so grateful of the chance to know him these last few years. He was always so helpful to Colin whether it be advice or to help him fix something. Glen's MANY stories always entertained me and I will miss that. Our heartfelt sympathy and thoughts are with you and the family at this time.
Take care,

Brent
Sorry to hear about your loss. Glen was a great supporter to you in your curling. He was always willing to talk curling and I always enjoyed his stories.

Daryl and I will be attending a Curl BC officials meeting and hope to have some time to stop by when it finishes in Richmond. We hope to drop in later in the afternoon if you will still be there.

If we don't make it know we will be thinking of you all.

Dad,
Thank you for being such a wonderful man. Not everyone gets to have their Dad choose them, and you chose me. I will forever be grateful for that. I will always remember when you came to me and asked me if I wanted you to adopt me, “Yes” was my immediate answer. I was so happy. We had our ups and downs, but I always knew you were there for me whenever I needed you, and I always felt like I needed you.
I will miss you more than you will ever know,
Love Kimmie

Dad,

We were as close a I think you can be......you were always there for me, either one of us was/is perfect...we have made some mistakes along the way. I never known anyone to try harder than you to make up for them. You taught me so much, its a good thing up did not charge me for everything.....I would be broke forever, but it would be so worth it.

I will miss you forever, you are my my dad and my best friend.........

Dad,
You were such a kind and generous man to all, with a sense of humour all of your own. Your battle was long and hard but you fought until the bitter end until you could no longer.

I will remember all the good times and laughter we shared. You have taught me so much in life and I will keep that with me forever. I know you will be watching over all of us and I will think of you often. I am so happy you met and had the time you did to spend with your granddaughter. That means so much to me. She loves you very much and will miss her grandpa. I know I had your blessing with the man I married as you guys spent so much time together puttering and working on little projects. He a kind man, just like you, who was by your bedside during your last days and loved you. We all love you.

The curling world will miss you dearly, especially your son.

I love you very much dad and will miss you dearly.
All my love
Shannon
