Heinrich "Heinz" Wolff September 24, 1914 - April 11, 2018 Heinrich "Heinz" Wolff passed away peacefully in Vancouver with friends and family at his side. Born and raised in Berlin Germany, he was forced to flee in the 1930s and settle in South Africa, where he served with the Allies in the Second World War. Later moving to Australia to be with his brother, he met and married a Canadian with whom he moved one last time, settling in Vancouver in 1958.
He greatly enjoyed hiking on the North Shore and other nearby mountains and attending chamber music or VSO concerts.
Heinz is pre-deceased by his brother Guenter (Geoffrey) and wife Margaret, and is survived by sons Robert and Bruce, niece Eileen and nephews Brian and Tony.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 12th at 3:00 pm at the Renfrew Collingwood Seniors Centre, 2970 East 22nd Avenue, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Red Cross.
