van ZUUK _ Hendrik A. With great sadness we announce the sudden passing on March 26, 2005 of our husband, father, and grandfather. Henk was predeceased by his younger son George in 1997 and his older brother Bert in 2003. He is survived by his loving wife Henny, daughter Mary, son Jerry, grandchildren Jenny (Scott) Reid and Paul Vonk, and his most beloved great-grandchildren Katelyn and Corey. He is also survived by his brother Wynand in the Netherlands and many other relatives and friends in Europe and Canada. Last but not least, he leaves behind his doting four-legged companions, Molly and Hanna. Henk was born in Hilversum, Holland in 1926. He met the love of his life in 1946 and five years later he and Henny tied the knot. In 1957, they and their three children set sail for Canada and settled in Vancouver. In 1978 Henk and Henny moved to Delta. Henk had a checkerboard career, which culminated in almost 20 years of service with B.C. Tel. He enjoyed 13 years of retirement, during which his favorite pastimes were reading, doing crosswords, and watching hockey. Henk will be remembered for stimulating conversation, his keen devotion to family, his generosity, and his sense of humour. We will miss him dearly. There will be a Celebration of Life at 10 am on Saturday, April 2 at Fraser Heights Funeral Home, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey.
