I'm sorry to hear about Luigia passing away and hope that she is now resting in peace forever with her husband and son,Ivan.
I was a high school classmate of Ivan ( we both graduated from Vancouver College in 1979 with numerous friends and acquaintances in common).
Ivan died in early June 1990 following a long battle against cancer and a number of us went to the Revelant home to mourn alongside the family.
The funeral mass was co-celebrated by another fellow classmate, Rev.( now Bishop) Mark Hagemoen while a number of us served as pallbearers.
Luigia was comforted and quite impressed that there was such a strong showing of support from Ivan's VC classmates.
Over the next few decades, I would pass by Ocean View Burial Park for one reason or another and think of Ivan and his father buried there ( and say a quick prayer for their souls) as I passed by on the bus.
From now on, I'll be saying a prayer for Luigia as well as I pass by the Burial Park each morning on my way to BCIT.
