Manuel De MATOS Obituary
Born in Faial, (Azores), passed away peacefully on January 14, 2012 in Burnaby, BC at the age of 85. Predeceased by first wife Elcina (1975), second wife Delia (2009) and son-in-law Manuel Gaspar. He will be lovingly remembered by daughters Maria Gaspar, Ligia (Tomas Castro), Stepdaughter Julia, five grandchildren Tony, (Mandy), Jenny (Tony), Tommy, Erica, Angela, and eight great-grandchildren. Deeply loved and respected by his family and friends. Manuel will be remembered for his radiant smile, gentle spirit and kind heart. Prayers will be said 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 19, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 1423 E. 13thAve. Vancouver, B.C. Follow by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Leonardo Rocha, CS celebrant. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Abbey Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. De Mato's memory to The Alzheimer Society of B.C.
