Mary-Anne COUGHLAN Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2004.
COUGHLAN _ Mary-Anne Roberta In our thoughts and cherished memories, earned her wings April 4, 2004. Will be remembered for her intelligence, endearing wit and courage. Mary-Anne was born in Fernie, BC on Feb 23, 1942 to Anne and Robert Coughlan. Though Mary-Anne lost her sight at age 11, she graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 1966. Mary-Anne was the proud and loving mother of David Foohey of Ottawa. Eldest beloved sister to Donna (Bob), Beatrice (James), nephew Cody, sister Cindy and brother Ed. Don't think of her as gone away, Her Journey's just begun. Life holds so many Facets, This Earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years And know she must be wishing We could understand some day How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched, For nothing loved is ever lost... And she was loved so much. We would like to thank all the people that met a kindred spirit on a journey and cared for her along the way. Your dedication, made a difference. Special thanks to Eleanor Riches, Madeline Miller, Agnes Ng and Elsie Haskell. Private Farewell.
