My husband and I discovered that we both attend the Diamond J, in the same year only in different months. We both had so much fun and so many great memories. Mr. Gardiner was also my math teacher at LSS. He was the one teacher that believed in me and helped me prove to myself that I could do it. Because of his belief in me I did not have to write my grade 11 math final. My biggest regret is not being able to tell him what a special teacher and person he was. Everyone had such respect for him.

My father Jerry Heisler worked with Dick at Nalleys for many years. I also worked there for a summer job. My parents,Jerry and Doris, were personal friends with Dick and June. We went to their house many times. I attended the "Diamond J" Dude Ranch in the early years, when we ate meals in the basement of the house. It was so much fun. Dick sang at our wedding on September 8 1962. My condolences to the family.

I have great memories of Diamond J. They were the best 2 weeks of the summer. I was just showing my grandchildren pictures the other day of the Dude Ranch. Sorry to here of your loss. He was a wonderful person, very kind and thoughtful. My condolences to all the family.

I was a late transfer into LSS and all the courses I wanted to take were full so I was registered into Mr Gardiner's Agriculture class. The next year I fought to be in his math and science classes. He was the most wonderful teacher. He made learning fun, and he made you want to know more. One of the best.

I have great memories of Diamond J as well. My father was Stan Maddison and he worked for Nalleys. I went to the ranch with him and remember it fondly. The family was very nice to me and I even rode in the stagecoach during a PNE parade. Thank you, Dick and condolences to the family.

Some of my best memories as a child was at the Diamond J. I remember, Mr. Gardiner, "Dick", as a patient, fun loving and generous leader with all of us city dudes. Thank you for making a couple of weeks each summer the best.
