I remember golfing at Mayfair with Ernie and Lynn. What a great day we had, only 1 mishap. I was driving our cart that Ernie and I shared and looking for Lynn. Next thing I know, no Ernie! I looked, and their he was lying on the fairway laughing. He had accidentally fallen out when I turned too sharply. We laughed all day and night. I did not know you well but I know Lynn loved you like no other. You will be missed.

Our deepest sympathies are with you all. I am grateful I had the opportunity to meet Ernie, but sad that I knew him a short time. Many of his traits reminded me of my dad. So glad he is at peace and in heaven with your mom now. Lots of love to you all!

Dear Karen,Lori,Chris and Lynn;
My thoughts are with you all dear cousins. I am so sorry that I can't be there. I loved your dad.
He was family-oriented and readily shared his a talents as a piano player,his kind soul,humor and laughter.
Who he was as a person, all of my childhood memories and adult-year experiences, earned him a special place in my heart as a wonderful uncle.
When I was in Vancouver a couple of years ago and he toured me around town, he told me that I could "drop the uncle" - I think he thought a 45+ woman shouldn't be calling him "uncle". I couldn't because I felt it would be disrespectful to call him Ernie.
In my heart and mind, he will forever be my "uncle Ernie".
My heart goes out to you for your loss. I trust that he is at peace and in heaven with your Mom.
Even though distance separates us...family binds us. I love you all and I will be with you in spirit for the funeral on Friday.

Our entire family sends our condolences as we are saddened by Ernie's passing. Our thoughts, lover and prayers are with you all. He reminded me in many ways of my father and getting to meet him and know him albeit for a short period of time was truly a gift.

Dear Cousins
Our thoughts and sympathies from this side of the coast are very much with you. Our Uncle Ernie was indeed special, a very warm and kind person, well matched with our wonderful Aunt Maureen. I have many vivid and fond memories of Ernie, stretching back to my early childhood fascination with his banjo and a certain old jalopy with rumble seats. My uncle and his entertaining style were magical. And then he gave us a glamorous, blonde, fairytale aunt! Typical of your parents' generosity and hospitality was the memorable summer they opened their home to me and my sister when we were young teenagers. This in addition to you four youngsters. Brave souls! The world is indeed diminished by his death – and perhaps a little quieter too without his Wesson voice! (I must admit that his sister has endowed me – and some of my siblings – with that trait.) Ernie will always be a part of some of my happiest and most treasured memories. I like to think that he lives on in the goodness he made here on earth.

We are so saddened to hear of Ernie's passing. We got to meet Ernie through mutual friends, and fell for his charm and personality right away. He was a joy to be around and truly a dear dear man. Our thoughts are with the family, and a special hug for Lynn - love from John and Ramona

His laughter, his smile, his many jokes his piano playing and singing were a joy to share but most of all his company was very special to all of us. Our heartfelt condolences reach out to the family at this time.
