Fred MINICHIELLO Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Fred Minichiello on January 8, 2016. Loving husband to Sharon Minichiello, adored father to Crestina Amado (Danny) and Deena Morisset (Pierre Yves), fun-loving nonno to five amazing grandchildren: Emme, Miller, Emile, Tristan and Jude and uncle and friend to many. Fred will be forever remembered for his love of life, sense of humour and kindness and generosity to all he crossed paths with personally and professionally at his life's passion, Minichiello Jewellers. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to the BC Cancer Society.

I have been buying jewelry from "Freddy" since 1978. Our wedding rings are just some of the many jewels we bought from him over the years. Freddy was always so warm and friendly as were his daughters who later came to work for him. Freddy was like a father figure to me, he was a business shark who told it like it was when it came to diamonds and gold, and he was witty too. I sent many of my premarital counselling clients to buy jewelry from him. He was an icon in Vancouver and will truly be missed by many. God bless you, dear man. Dr. Wendy (Jeff) Dubois
