Dad loved Country Music
He would sit in his Caddy for hours listen to his music
He watched Young and The Restless, Heartland and Ellen religiously
He was a true romantic.
Cake and sweets were his vice
Couldn't bring them and they'd be gone
Our family has experienced so much loss and tragedy throughout the years
This balanced by all love, fun and laughter we have had creating moments togetheris second to none
Dad came out to BC for visits a few times over the last eight years
It became increasingly difficult for him to travel because of his lack of oxygen
I went last November to visit Dad in Ontario because he was unable to fly
I pretty much cried on the airplane all the way home
We have all dealt with it in our own special way
Some by visiting
Some by talking to Dad daily
Me and Dad had this thing
It was always "See ya"
For the last few years we talked on the phone almost daily
Irrelevant conversation but we knew it was our ritual
He knew how to push my buttons and talked about different things with me than others
We would all get a kick of the two words that stuck out that continued to have the punjabi accent.phone and sugar
Have the courage to have the courage
We all knew this day was happening
It has been a long hard mourning process for us all
Nobody knows the truth
Except those living it
Even then it is only the truth as they see it
Everyones truth is different
Dad's wishes were to be brought back to the family and friends he left behind in BC. We have honoured his wishes
There are no goodbyes for us Dad
See ya!

Dad is one of the last of this era. When I was a little girl
I was so proud of the Thandi legacy. My parents and grandparents legacy is evident in all of you. Their spirit of giving and generosity was second to none. As children our house was a revolving door of relatives and friends. This year Canada celebrates 150 years.
The Thandi family first set foot on Canadian soil 113 years ago. Our family roots go back to 1904. Our footprint in Canada is strong and true. Through this footprint others have become grounded in Canadian soil. Dad went to high school in Canada. When he finished high school he wanted to be a mechanic. Back then it was all about family and supporting family. He put his needs on the back burner and did what he needed for the family. He ended up working multiple jobs throughout the years, owning businesses and enjoying life to the fullest when time to do so.
He grew up an only child. Yet he was surrounded and luved by all who call him Pajee. He grasped for that connection. He found that in his grandkids. It was amazing to watch this unfold.
My brother Rons kids lived with Mum and Dad while they were little. My brother Sats kids lived with Mum and Dad as well from the time they were born. My boys spent
snippets of time with their Papa weekly and enjoyed vacations, backyard fun and time up at Cultus. In his final years Dad lived with my sister and my niece and enjoyed all the special times they had together. Creating wonderful precious moments to cherish with us all.

May this candle stay burning because the world is darker without you in it. RIP Jeet.

I want to add this because I want to say how much you always talked about your family and how much you enjoyed and loved the little ones. It meant so much. My grandchildren and their friends thought you were so "cool" and my great great granddaughter Ney on her own liked to call you Papa. I will show her your life's story when she is older so she will not forget you.

To my phone pal. I will miss you so much. I never realized our last phone call when we were both so sick would be our last! You could hardly talk. Now you are united with your wife, son and parents. RIP dear friend. My family will miss you.
