Richard Quinn Obituary

Richard Quinn was welcomed into God's loving embrace on June 29, 2013.

He was a gentle spirit, quiet, good natured and loved by all who spent time with him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his sweet smile could touch your heart profoundly. He personified acceptance from the day he was born. He never complained no matter what came his way.

Richard resided at the United Cerebral Palsy home in Thousand Oaks/Westlake. for 21 years. He participated in the Special Olympics and delighted in being a client representative in UCP's planning committee. He was always interested in history and world events.

He is survived by his cousins, Shirley Freeberg of La Quinta, Calif., and Gae Sares of the bay area; Shirley's son, Gary Freeberg and the extended family have been blessed to participate in overseeing his care.

Many thanks to all the clients and staff who have taken such wonderful care of him he will be missed by all.

I served as Richard's Social Worker for 10 years. Richard was such a nice and humble man. He always had a smile on his face and was always so friendly to everyone. He was well respected by his peers, friends, family and staff. It was such an honor to work with Richard. My condolences to his family.

Warmest Regards,
Gary
