I'm sad I never got to meet Grandpa Bob, what a treasure he was to his family, through watching short video's and listening to his grand daughters stories I felt like I already knew him, he should have had his own TV show! Everyone would be blessed to have a man like this in their lives. Thank you Donna for sharing him with us, he was lucky to have you caring for him at the end.

Bob was a great friend and neighbor to our family. He was always ready to spend some time and share some stories with us. He and his family were wonderful to grow up next door to. Bob will be missed :)

I always enjoyed listening to his WWII stories and jokes. I had the opportunity to say good bye and told him how much I appreciated everything he did for me. That day I also told him I was coming back to visit him and he answered me, "I won't be here anymore, I'm ready to go"....Grandpa, rest in peace.

Donna, your wonderful Grandpa was always a joy to see coming through our door when he delivered balloons and helium to us. He and Dave would talk for at least an hour on a job that should have taken 10 minutes. Lol. He always had a good story to tell. He was a kind and generous person. He had ingenious ideas, like the machine with a big wheel that turned ribbon around and around it so then we could cut it all to the same length with one swipe. What a time saver that was. He will be greatly missed. I'm glad that we knew him. God's blessings on you and your family. We love you, Jeanne and Dave

Donna, we always enjoyed your Grandpa. I know Bill liked the war stories. LOL Bob brought alot of joy to this world. In his own way, of course. Now he is at peace with your Mom and Grandma.

Donna,
I always loved seeing stories about your Grandpa. You will always have such fond memories memorialized with all the posts you did regarding him and your adventures with him. What a lucky thing to have. He was an extraordinary man and I am glad that I had the opportunity to observe his later years through you. Love to you and your family.

We are grateful for the friendship and love that we feel for each other. These many years with Bob have been a special time for me and my family. We are keenly aware that the joy that is ours is a temporary pleasure. Our lives will not always be this stable and secure. Change is inevitable, and it will come to us, too. We will accept it when it comes, of course, but we are grateful for the happiness and warmth that has been ours these many years. We have had more than our share of good things, and we are so thankful for the many years that we have loved and been loved by Bob.
