Benito Marquez Obituary

Benito (Ben) V. Marquez Benito Marquez, April 20, 1944 - April 20, 2013, age 69. Benito was born to Estanislado and Ynosencia Marquez in Artesia, NM. Ben went home to be with our Savior on Saturday, April 20, 2013 surrounded by his beloved family at his side. Ben joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 4 years and fought in the Vietnam War. Ben enjoyed the outdoors and loved boating, fishing, and camping. For many years, he had a tradition of celebrating his birthday every year up at Kaweah Lake and inviting all his nephews and nieces for a weekend of camping. Ben is survived by his wife, Elsie Marquez and a son, Benito Santini Marquez; brothers, Roberto Marquez, Christopher Marquez, and Michael Marquez; sisters, Elfida Huerta, Patricia De Leon, Gloria Holguin and Kathy Alafa. Preceded in death are his parents, Estanislado and Ynosencia Marquez; brothers, Estanislado (Stan) Marquez, Jose Marquez, and Anthony Marquez; 1 sister, Esther Moreno. Burial is private. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Visalia Veterans Memorial Building at 609 W. Center St., Visalia.
