Maria G. Silva Maria Gloria Silva, 83, of Tulare passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was born on April 3, 1929, in Cinco Ribeiras, Teceira, Acores and immigrated to this country in 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bernardino Silva; brothers' Louis and Jose Xavier. She is survived by her children Joe V. Silva and his wife Maria; Tony Silva, and Bernadette Silva, a brother, Antonio Xavier and his wife Serafina; and three grandchildren, Sarena Stacie, and Joe Silva Jr., all of Tulare. Maria loved to garden, cook and visit with her friends and family. She also loved to sew. Sewing was her favorite past time and it brought her great joy. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to her niece, Mary Amelia and husband Manuel Azevedo of Modesto, for the care and companionship that they so graciously gave to Maria in her final days. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North "H" Street, Tulare, Ca. St. Aloysius Altar Society Rosary will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012, 4:00 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012, 9:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 East Pleasant Avenue, Tulare, Ca., with burial at Tulare District Cemetery, 900 East Kern Avenue, Tulare, Ca. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
