Barry Smith Mr. Barry Alexander Smith was born to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Mattie and John Smith on September 8, 1955 in the small township of Neptune, New Jersey. Barry received the Lord Savior in his home on February 7, 2013 and passed away on February 15, 2013. He was raised in Ashburg, New Jersey until he became an adult. He then moved to California and joined the Marine Corps in 1975 and served until 1981 when he returned to the bay area. In 2004 he moved to Tulare, and met the love of his life Brenda Pace where he became family and met plenty of friends and was well known. He loved family barbecues and also loved Shirley's cooking. Barry loved Brenda with all his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mattie. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving soul mate Brenda Pace of Tulare; his loving step-daughters Shareka Jones and Jim-Meisha Meadows, both of Tulare; a dear Godson Da'Vajiaye Proctor; two brothers Bruce Smith of Stockton and Bertram Smith of Philadelphia, PA; a niece Pamela Smith of Stockton; his one and only auntie Rev. Carrie Geeston of Mountain House. Barry also had a host of friends and sister-in-laws; and Mother Pace, aka "mom" whom Barry said was his momo. Barry will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at House of Love Church, 1231 N. F St., Tulare with burial at North Tulare Cemetery. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
