Dorothy King

Dorothy E. King Dorothy King, 90, our Beloved Mother left this world on January 16, 2013, to be standing in the presence of the King. She was born in Hartville, Missouri on July 22, 1922 to Reuben & Naomi Broyles. She was the sixth child in a family of eight brothers and sisters. Her family moved from Missouri to California when she was 3 months old. She met the love of her life Rudy King when she was 12 and married him when she was 17. They made their home in Visalia. They raised 3 daughters. She studied and became a Registered Physical Therapist. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hampton of Cypress, California and Janice Arnett and husband Charlie of Visalia, California. Eight grand children, Coleen Beahn and husband Jeff, Carmel Acevedo and husband Danny, Kristi Roedell and husband Greg, Sherri Jacobsen and husband David, Steve Baker and wife Brooke, Brandy Phillipe and husband Andy, Devon Pritchett and husband Chris, Kaci Arnett. She has 16 great grandchildren. She is survived by 2 sisters. Ruby Newberry of Visalia, California and Marie Bennett and husband Bob of Longmont, Colorado. Those preceding her in death, Husband Rudy King, Daughter Sharon Peden, Parents Reuben & Naomi Broyles, Sister and Brothers, Mary Broyles, Opal Blackman, Orville Broyles, Inez Crace, Danny Broyles, A Celebration of Life will be held at the Evangel Assembly of God, 1625 E.
