Norma Bernice Reece

Norma Bernice Reece Please come and celebrate the life of Norma Bernice Reece (Norma Jean). Norma went to be with the Lord on Monday the 6th with her family by her side. The celebration will be held on Monday, May 13th at 11:00 AM at the Lamp Liter Inn, Visalia, CA in the Cambridge room. If you knew Norma, you know she wouldn't want a traditional tribute so in her honor I'll keep this short. Norma lived in Visalia most of her life and worked at the Lamp Liter Inn for 15 years until she moved to her beloved Minden, Nevada where she made a home with many friends for the past 11 years. She used to tell me she felt like she was on vacation every day when she lived there. Norma worked at the Carson Valley Inn where she had a network of friends that she called family. Norma had one daughter, Ronnell, a Son-in-Law, John, two Grandchildren, Lauren (Married to Micah Ziessler) and Reece, two Great Grandchildren, Jayden and Marc. She also had a Sister, Neva Bibb and Brother Ken Reece and their children. Norma was particularly close to her Niece Cindy and spent a lot of time with her when she came back for treatment. She appreciated her ability to make her laugh. She loved laughter and even though these were tough times, she was making us laugh until the very end. She also had one much loved dog, Juan and a grand dog Rocco who she was beginning to love and then he'd go and steal her napkin! To say she will be missed is an understatement. Anyone who was blessed to know her knows the gap she leaves in our hearts. But she would also say don't be sad, life is a party, enjoy yourself, laugh, and be happy. Let's honor her together by doing just that.
