Tulare - Carl Eugene Bandy

Carl was born 08/26/1936 to parents John C. Bandy and Eula C. Wilbourn. They had 9 children Total 5 Son's Robert Bandy, John Bandy Jr., Jack Bandy, Earl Bandy, Carl Bandy 4 Daughters Pauline Round, Dorothy Hogg, Frances Castleberry Lamarsna, Nan Johnson. Surviving Siblings are Dorothy Hogg, Nan Johnson, and Robert Bandy. At the age of 9 the Bandy Family moved to Tulare. He attended school at Central Elementary then Tulare Union High School and was a member of the Redskin Band. After Graduation In 1954 He entered the Navy and became a Radioman in CL "A" in Radio School he was assigned to the USS MAGOFFIN Then he received honorable discharge. After he was discharged from the Navy he went to COS and worked helping the family. Carl mostly worked in construction and painting, and was known to have good work ethics and good attention to details. He worked for Dairyman's Coop Creamery Association (AKA) Land O' Lakes for 27 years in shipping and receiving and retired from their Local Union # 517 at age 65. In 1964 He married Margaret Alberti and in 1966 the first born was Michael Edward Bandy who brought Great Love and Joy. He expired 4/1/1985. While attending Stanford University. A Great joyous event was the arrival of a beautiful baby girl 7/13/1968 Debra Annette Bandy, She remained his Pride and Joy. Carl was a good Father and was active in Blue Birds and Cub Scouts; He helped in many projects assisting his kids and others. Carl most of all found Love and pleasure through Debra and her family, The Grandchildren were top of his list of fulfilling happiness. Mikayla, Danielle, and Logan Kelly. Carl signed up for classes and became a good transcriber in the Sequoia Braille Transcribers. He transcribed student books, Greeting Cards, Cooking Recipes & even schedules for his 49ers. For the school classes he Braille student's names and let them feel the print and take home to share. Approximately for 20 years he donated his work and time to this group. Volunteering at the Tulare Public Library was the next activity, for several years, also included was helping with the friends of the library for book sales. Many times he mentioned appreciated the staff at Twin Oaks Rehab where he found lasting friendships also KDDH Staff and Doctors were helpful and kind. The Family is blessed to have Kevin Stiffler officiate at Carl's Burial Services. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 pm Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel Graveside Service is 10:00 am Thursday May 17, 2018 at Tulare Public Cemetery Internment is at Tulare Public Cemetery (Kern)
