Claudia Anne Trembley Hall Obituary
Claudia Anne Trembley Hall

- - Claudia Anne Trembley Hall, 71, passed away peacefully holding her daughter's hand on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born just over 2lbs on March 8, 1947 to Harold and Barbara Trembley, she was a fighter from the start. As a single mom, she completed college with a five year old daughter in tow, finishing her Bachelor's and teaching credential. She spent her career teaching junior high schoolers to cook, sew, eat healthy and navigate "the birds and the bees." Claudia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like perfecting her garden, adoring her cat, Daisy, playing Skipo with her friends and belonging to a book club that gave up reading books years ago and just drank wine instead. She loved taking trips with friends to the coast, to nearby wineries and to Tahoe, which remains her most cherished place. Ever a nature lover, Claudia once declared randomly at the Thanksgiving dinner table, "I love trees!" Her optimism was inspiring - and earned her the nick name "Pollyanna." But she was a fierce Pollyanna wrapped in a tiny package with a toughness and strength that faced any challenge that came her way. She was a kick ass, selfless single mom who raised a daughter who is independent, grounded and perhaps a little spoiled. In a final letter, she shared that "life has been special not because of what I have done, but because of the people in it." Her daughter Jill, son-in-law James, sister Nancy, and her many extended family members and good friends feel lucky to have been among those people.

A Celebration of Life announcement will follow in the coming weeks.
