Paula Ann Kuklinski Obituary
Paula Ann Kuklinski

Visalia - Paula was born and raised in Tulare, CA. She attended Tulare Union High School. She was a Job's Daughter Honor Queen, and a California Girl's State participant.

After graduating from High School, Paula attended San Jose State University where she majored in Education and minored in Art. While at San Jose State she was a member and President of Delta Gamma Sorority.

While teaching, she was introduced to the love of her life, Frank Kuklinski. Dear friends set them up on a blind date. Later, Paula did confess that she actually took a sneak peek of him the night before their "blind" date. She obviously liked what she saw. They were married for 55 happy years. Frank passed away in 2013. But his positive spirit lived on through Paula and her amazing attitude.

In 1968 Paula and Frank had moved their family from San Jose to Visalia. Their new home was surrounded by oak trees, a horse ranch, and bridle trails. They had many wonderful neighbors. The past 4 years many of these neighbors kindly kept a watchful eye on Paula and her home. They truly were/are Angels on Earth.

Paula taught for many years in Visalia and was known as Mrs. Kuklinski to decades worth of kindergartners. She was named Teacher of the Year in 1997.

Paula enjoyed belonging to many organizations: Tulare County Symphony League Bridge Marathon, Tulare County Panhellenic, Ice House Theater, and Assistance League. These organizations filled her days with purpose and pleasure.

But one of her most favorite activities later in life, more than any other, truly kept Paula going, and that was bridge. She would often play several times a week. To find like minded people who loved to play bridge as much as she did was heaven on earth. The camaraderie was priceless. It was so much more than "just a game".

Paula said the most valuable things she learned from her parents were the importance of good manners, to always do her best and to be a friend to all. Even as her health started to decline, she was always polite, she did her best and she kept gathering new friends along the way.

Paula passed away May 22. She is survived by her three children.

Karie Kuklinski, Kim/Cameron Beck, Mark/Marilyn Kuklinski and her five grandchildren.

A special thank you to the Kaweah Delta Staff, Kaweah Delta Hospice, Kaweah Delta Private Home Care, Delta Nursing, Dr. Shu, Dr. Havard, Dr. Gerges, and the staff and residents of Quail Park. Your time, care, and knowledge were greatly appreciated. It truly did take a village to get one tiny, very special lady home. Thank you.

A dear friend in Pahellenic wrote about a bible scripture that came to her mind when she had heard that mom had passed away that summed up her final battle with cancer:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
