Toni Vogt Obituary

Toni L. Vogt

September 20, 1956 - July 28, 2016

Visalia

Toni Vogt, loving wife, mother and Gigi (grandmother), flew peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 28, 2016. Toni was born September 20, 1956, in Los Angeles, California to Aubrey and Patricia Cope. Toni grew up outside of Sanger, California. She attended Centerville school and Sanger High School. At 14 she met the love of her life, Randy, and they began dating one year later. Toni and Randy were married December 21, 1974. After a few years working and living in San Jose, California, Toni and Randy moved to Visalia in 1980, where they established their home.

Toni was an amazing mother, raising two sons, Danny and Stephen. She poured her life into her boys; actively volunteering at school, church and all their activities as they grew. She still found time to help others, baking and taking bread and other items to the Visalia Rescue Mission on a regular basis. In 1990, Toni Co-founded and was the Owner and President of PRISM Weight Loss Program. Through her vision and leadership, the business grew rapidly and served program participants in all 50 states in the US. PRISM's success allowed her to express her giving spirit tangibly. Benefactors of her generosity included the Visalia Rescue Mission, Neighborhood Church, Friends of the Fox (Visalia Fox Theatre), Central Valley Christian Schools and many other organizations in Visalia and beyond.

Being married to Randy and raising two sons, Toni learned to enjoy sports. She loved watching her boys participate in sports. She was on the sidelines and in the stands at many, many games for many, many years. She was their greatest cheerleader and often the "Team Mom".

Toni loved to entertain and was the ultimate hostess. She enjoyed bringing friends and family into the Vogt home for a meal or a party. She made every guest feel special and each event was filled with laughter, joy, and wonderful memories.

For the past eight years, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. After raising two sons, she was blessed with two beautiful daughters-in-law, three grandsons and three granddaughters. She loved buying "pretty things", spoiling and spending time with her three granddaughters. Her grandsons were never left out…she spoiled and loved on them too.

Much too soon, Toni leaves behind and is survived by her husband, Randy, her son Danny and his wife, Amy, her son Stephen and his wife, Alyssa, and six precious grandchildren; Braden, Addison, Shailyn, Payton, Jeremiah and Clark.

Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rebecca (Cope) Christensen, she is also survived by her sisters Diane (Cope) Hearst and Kathy (Cope) Whitaker, and many nephews and nieces.

Her family is planning a memorial/tribute to honor Toni and her life later in the year.

Remembrances may be made in Toni's name to The Visalia Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 109, Visalia, CA 93279 (website: vrmhope.org).

Memories are flooding my mind of the sweet youngest Cope girl, always with a smile on her face and a giggle. We reconnected briefly in the Bay Area after she married Randy but lost touch after Becky passed away.

My heart goes out to her sisters, Randy and her entire family. Gone too soon.

I was so sad to hear the news of Toni's passing this morning. She was an amazing woman to know and work for. My fondest memory of her is a great testimony of her kindness and compassion to others. I was sick and miserable with a cold. She called me into her office, sat me down and rubbed eucalyptus oil into my feet. Such a humbling and beautiful experience. I remember her collection of bears and the Disney characters that she assigned to each of us. God bless you Toni! I know you're with Jesus. Randy, Danny and Stephen, you are in my thoughts and prayers!

We were very sorry to hear of Toni's passing from our midst. Toni was the most generous, kind-hearted, venturesome, compassionate, and loving women we have ever known! It was our honor to have known her, worked with and for her and were blessed by her friendship. We know God blessed many people through Toni. May all of you be comforted through the coming days, weeks and years as you live life without her. Cherish the good times.
