Lena Giotto Lena Giotto was born in Visalia, CA on February 26, 1921 to Antonio and Esperanca Costa and passed away on October 24th 2012, at the age of 91. Lena attended Packwood Grammar School and graduated from Visalia Union High School in 1939. She married Vito Giotto in Visalia on August 30th 1941. Following their marriage, Lena and Vito moved to San Francisco where Lena resided until moving back to Visalia in May of 2002. Lena was employed by The Emporium Department Store for over 30 years. Lena loved family gatherings, entertaining and dining out. In her earlier years she was well known for her "debates" with her brother Tony. Lena was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Esperanca Costa, husband Vito, sisters, Alice Pacheco, Ruby Jacques, Marie Rose, Velma Carney and brother, Tony Costa. She is survived by son, Larry Giotto (Linda) of Visalia, grandsons, Michael Giotto of Capitola, CA, Jimmy Giotto of Visalia, step-grandsons Jeremy Knauer of Visalia, Joey Knauer (Jill) of Visalia. Lena is also survived by 3 step-great granddaughters, sister-in-laws Nadine Costa and Gerri Giotto and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A Rosary will be recited Monday, October 29, 2012 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel at 6 p.m. and Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA, at 1 p.m. Condolences may be e-mailed to
