Inga Bjornson Obituary
Inga Bjornson Inga Bjornson, 97 of San Diego, California passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in Visalia, California. Inga was born in Vang, North Dakota on April 14, 1915 to Lars and Paulina Christianson. She attended high school in Langdon, North Dakota and college in Mayville, North Dakota. Inga taught school at Vang and Walhalla, North Dakota. She moved to California in 1942 and began working at Rohr Aircraft. Later on she taught school at National City and Chula Vista, California. Inga also worked for Howard's School Pictures taking pictures in San Diego city and county schools. On July 6, 1942, Inga married Kris Bjornson in San Diego, California. To this union was born two children, David Paul and Roxanne Rae. Inga has been a member of the United Church of Christ since 1944 where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Fellowship and Faith Circle. She was a member of the Icelandic Club and Bridge Club. Inga was preceded in death by her husband Kris; her son David in 1998; daughter-in-law, Joahn ; and seven brothers and sisters, Hilmer, Oscar, Carl, Ella, Lawrence, Albert and Laura. Inga leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Roxanne Wright of Visalia and her daughters, Kristin Newsom (Sean) of San Luis Obispo, CA; Jennifer Lincicum (Brandon) of Ventura, CA and Amanda Wright of Greenville, SC; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Scarlett and Violette Newsom. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, CA.
