LANE, EUGENE PATRICK Lane, Eugene Patrick, age 81 of Algonac, passed away on February 15, 2018. Born on March 4, 1936 to Eugene and Helen Lane in Detroit Michigan. At the age of 17 and 23 Eugene proudly joined the Marines, becoming one of the 'Best of the Best'. At the age of 17 he also met the love of his life, Rosemary Anderson. They married shortly after at St. Leo Catholic Church in Detroit Michigan. Together they had four children; Pamela, Theresa, Doug, and Brian. Eugene also served in the Sterling Heights Police Department for twenty five years before retiring in 1989 as a lieutenant. In his free time, Eugene loved to go camping, boating, riding his motorcycle, and flying airplanes. However, the most important thing in his life was his family. Eugene was also survived by many extended loved ones and friends. He will be forever missed.
