Albert Ramos
Albert Louis Ramos, 67, was born October 9, 1952 to Frank and Catalina Andrade Ramos. As a victim of Corona Virus, Albert entered eternal life while surrounded by his family on April 13, 2020.
Albert was born and raised in Barstow, CA, graduated from Barstow High in 1970, and continued his schooling at Barstow College later graduating with his BS in 1972.
In 1974, Albert volunteered as a Reserve Deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. On July 4, 1977 he was accepted to the SBSD academy, graduated in September 1977, and was then assigned to the Barstow Sheriff's Station on March 20, 1978. Throughout his years, he became the Reserve Coordinator Officer, Search and Rescue Coordinator, School Resource Officer, Public Information Officer, PAL and DARE Coordinator, worked with the Barstow Youth Accountability program, and was on the San Bernardino County Trap Team winning numerous medals.
During his off time, Albert was a coach for East Barstow Little League, a member of the ELKS lodge, but nothing could take him away from his passion for golfing, hunting, camping, and fishing.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Catalina, brothers Joe and Agricol. Albert is survived by his wife of 42 years Latrell, son Alejandro (Natalie), daughter Angela, and grandchildren: Brandon, Riley, Ryann, Lennox, and Cole. Brother Robert (Annie) and their 2 children. Sister-in-law Judy, Aunt Carmen Andrade, and numerous cousins.
Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday March 9th 1030 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church followed by interment at Mt. View Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Meads Mortuary 36930 Irwin Rd, Barstow. 760-256-5671.
