Stella Marie Bollinger
Barstow - Stella Marie Bollinger age 92 a longtime resident of Barstow, CA since 1959, went home to be with her Lord on 29 January 2010 in Apple Valley, CA. Stella was the youngest child of George W Schroeder and Nellie Forte (Pence) Schroeder. Stella was laid to rest on 16 February 2021in Mountain View Memorial Park in Barstow, CA.
Stella is survived by her five children; Cynthia Bollinger Jaggar of WA, Michael Bollinger of CA, Dianna Bollinger of CA, Billy Bollinger of CA, and Lori Bollinger Allen of TN, ten grandchildren Stacy Goodlow Talmich, Kendra Jaggar, Shauna Jaggar Luessen, Ryan Jaggar, Amy Allen Baker, Amber Allen Porter, Adam Allen, Mathew Bollinger, Patricia Schwartz, and Robert Schwartz, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Stella also has a half sibling Russell Schroeder of IA along with countless nieces and nephews.
Stella was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Ritz Bollinger and two sons in law Calvin K Jaggar and Mark W Allen, her parents George Washington Schroeder and Nellie Forte (Pence) Schroeder and siblings Lucille, Graden, Mildred, Meredith, Phyllis, Marjorie, Edith, Paul, Pauline, Donna, Donald, George Jr., and half siblings Roger and Sandra.
Stella was an extraordinary woman who we all loved so dearly and she will be missed, but we celebrate her life and take comfort in knowing she is with her husband and the Lord.
Stella graduated from Mt Pleasant High School in Mt Pleasant, Iowa where she went to the state Spelling Bee all four years; she also took nursing classes to help during war time.
Stella enjoyed decorating for all the holidays, but her most favorite was Halloween when the children would come by with ohs and awes at the goblins.
Stella was a member of the First Congregational Church in Barstow where she spent many hours volunteering.
