So Sorry to hear about the passing of Helen. I used to work at Amy Jo's Sewing Center and Helen was a regular customer. She certainly had a passion for sewing and made so many kid's quilts to donate. What a sweet lady!!

Such a sweet couple, Helen & Dewey. When Greater Waco Baptist was Bellmead Calvary they assembled Thanksgiving & Christmas food baskets for the needy. I met them when I began attending BCBC in the late 1990's. One year they needed help so I pitched in. That was the beginning of a wonderful chapter in my life. They taught me what to do and how to do it. The Holiday Basket work led me to work in the Food Pantry which they also handled on church nights. Helen would talk alot about making those quilts. It was obvious that was a special ministry for her. She has a crown full of jewels to hand in!! All well earned.

Mrs. Rogers was a WONDERFUL lady!! I am a teacher at China Spring Elementary and she and her husband would bring quilts for my students. The students loved them. I also visited her at her house a couple of times. I would bring her fabric and they would give me craft items. After her husband was placed in a home, I saw her at HEB and asked her if I could bring her some meals that were already cooked. She was so appreciative. I'll always look at the little house on 19th street and think of Mr. and Mrs. Rogers!! I will keep your family in my prayers.
