JOHN RICHARD WHALEN (Age 78) "Jack"
On Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence in Kensington, MD. John "Jack" Whalen, a builder in the Washington/Metropolitan area for over 50 years, responsible for constructing many churches, schools and commercial sites. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Stone Whalen; four devoted daughters, Christine W. Streetman, Catherine W. Harrison, Carol W. Blorstad and Anne M. Whalen and ten loving grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the: Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Research, Washington, DC event May 2013 at www.avonwalk.org

Dear Dot and family. Jack was one of my memorable students in our acrylic class at Lely.he brightened up our class... And my day!
