Richard Dana Warden "Dick" (Age 86)
Of Lewes, DE died quietly in his sleep on September 3, 2018 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Originally from Montana, Dick began his career as a journalist for the Great Falls Tribune, a family-owned newspaper. In 1961 he moved to Washington, DC on a political science fellowship from the American Political Science Association. He later worked in the Johnson and Carter Administrations and the labor movement, completing his career with the United Auto Workers as their Legislative Director. He retired in 1991 and moved to Delaware as a full time resident. He is survived by his daughter and three sons, Denise, Michael, Joseph and Jerome; six grandchildren and his wife of 42 years- Barbara Freeman Warden. A memorial service will be held on September 29, 2018 in Rehoboth Beach at All Saints Episcopal Church, with the memorial to begin at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made in Dick's memory to the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.

I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a man of principal and compassion; a great role model; and a wonderful boss. My heart goes out to Barbara.
