SHERYAR DURRANI Obituary

SHERYAR DURRANI  July 11, 1962 - December 19, 2015
Sheryar Durrani, beloved son of Azra J. Durrani and the late Abdul Manan Durrani, died peacefully at home in Gaithersburg, Maryland on December 19, 2015 at the age of 53.  A 1986 graduate from the School Of Engineering at University of Maryland who started his career at Ford Motor Co., Sheryar pursued a lifelong career in mechanical engineering and design that was inspired by his passion for automobiles. He was an engineer, an inventor, a designer, a robotics coach, an entrepreneur, an instructor, a storyteller, a comic, a son, a brother, a father, and a friend. He will always be remembered for his gracious heart, his dynamic sense of humor, and his unfaltering love for his family.  He is survived by his daughters Aleena, Serena, and Iman Durrani; his siblings Naila Jamil (Arshad), Nabila Altafullah (Kamal), Adnan Durrani (Dolores), and Saquiba Ahmed (Imran); and adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Services previously held. Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi raji''un. Surely we belong to God and to Him we return.
