Passed away on September 17, 2018 in Atlanta, GA. Born in Nutley, NJ, he was the son of the late Minnie and Percy Ward. Hank is survived by his wife Sally Ward (nee Schmertz) of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Lawrence (Larry) Ward of Bala Cynwyd, PA, and Michael Ward of Nashville, TN; two daughters Katherine Ward of Sharpsburg, MD and Susan Pate of Edgewood, NM; six grandchildren, James Pate, Elizabeth (Liz) Pate, Elizabeth (Ellie) Ward, Abigail (Abby) Ward, Claire Ward, and Evan Ward. He graduated from Nutley High School, Yale University and after serving in the US Navy, he earned an MD from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Hank moved to the Washington area in the 1960s and worked as a psychiatrist for many years both in private practice and at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Upon retiring, he lived in Wolfsville, MD, then Tenants Harbor, ME before finally settling in Atlanta, GA. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.

Im sorry to hear about your loss. Henry lived a long life. As the days pass missing him will be greater at times.
