CURTISS PEARSON Obituary
CURTISS SILVANUS PEARSON (Age 74)
Passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Chantilly, VA. He was born on January 16, 1940 in Huntsville, AL to the late Curtis H. and Susie (Allen) Pearson. Mr. Pearson received his BS in Music Education and was a former Minister of Music for the Manassas Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed grilling steak and watching the Andy Griffith Show on Saturday nights with his son. He was a songwriter who enjoyed writing Christian songs and was a sports fan always rooting for the Redskins and the University of Alabama "Crimson Tide." Predeceased by his wife Judith Pearson, his son Kenneth Earl Pearson and his sister Wygelia Pearson. Survivors include one son: Roger Allen Pearson and wife Meg of Chantilly, VA. He also leaves his granddog Noah. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Centreville Baptist Church, 15100 Lee Hwy, Centreville, VA where services will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Manassas Church of the Nazarene, 8220 Spruce St., Manassas, VA 20111, Centreville Baptist Church or Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Ct., Falls Church, VA 22042 in loving memory of Curtiss S.
