John O'Fallon

JOHN DENIS O'FALLON (Age 90)  
of Potomac, Md., passed away on October 14, 2018. Born in Oklahoma to the late John and Catherine O'Fallon. John was a veteran, serving in the National Guard and U.S. Army. After earning his BS in Civil Engineering at Manhattan College, and Masters in Civil Engineering from NYU, he worked as a bridge engineer for the federal government for over 50 years. John is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jane, parents, and infant son, David. Surviving family include sons John (Sarah) of Annandale, VA, Brian (Laurie) of Marietta, GA, Denis (Celia) of Frederick, MD; daughters Kate Vinzani (Gil) of Raleigh, NC and Joan Shobe (Doug) of New Market, MD; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will mourn their loss. The family will receive visitors at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Dr., Gaithersburg, MD on Thursday, October 25, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Falls Rd. and Dunster Rd., Rockville, MD on Friday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m. If it is your wish, in lieu of flowers you may donate to The Franciscan Fathers of the Holy Land in his memory (http://https//myfranciscan.org/) or Red Cloud Indian School (https://www.redcloudschool.org/).
