THOMAS R. BYRNE (Age 91) Retired U.S. Ambassador
On Sunday, March 30, 2014 of Bethesda, MD. Loving husband of Margaret M. Byrne of 61 years. Beloved father of Varahi, Therese, Patricia, Mary Beth, Kathleen and Rosemary Byrne. Loving grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of two. Beloved brother of Marie, David and Ann Byrne. Family and friends will be received at PUMPHREY'S BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE FUNERAL HOME, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814 on Wednesday, April 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20816 on Thursday, April 3 at 12 noon. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Jesuit Refugee Service/USA, 1016 16th Street, NW, Ste. 500, Washington, D.C. 20036.
