HENRY MORGENTHAU III (Age 101)
On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, HENRY MORGENTHAU III of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Schachter Morgenthau. Dear son of the late Henry Jr. and the late Elinor Lehman Fatman Morgenthau. Devoted father of Sarah Morgenthau (Carl Wessel), Dr. Henry "Ben" (BeckiLynn) Morgenthau IV and Kramer (Tracy) Morgenthau. Dear brother of Robert M. Morgenthau (Lucinda Franks) and the late Dr. Joan E. Morgenthau (the late Fred Jr.) Hirschhorn. Loving grandfather of Edward "Teddy", Henry and Mizia Wessel, Henry Morgenthau V and Mizia and Osias Morgenthau. Service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018, 6:30 p.m. at Ingleside at Rock Creek, 5121 Broad Branch Rd., NW, Washington, DC. Shiva reception following. Interment in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Henry Morgenthau Poetry Prize, c/o Passager Books, 1420 N.
