On Saturday, January 19, 2019, of Smyrna, DE, formerly of Silver Spring MD. Beloved husband of Maxine Johnson; father of Michelle Thomas (Kenneth) Kim Smith, and Lamar Johnson (Terry); brother of Yvonne Johnson. Also survived by five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, Saturday, February 02, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

My heart broke when I heard of the passing of Ernest. I am sorry that I am unable to be with you while you honor and celebrate the life of your beloved husband and father. My prayers and sympathy to all of the family members as they mourn this great loss.
