Giovanni Battista Scapecchi (Age 87)
On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, of Beltsville, MD. Beloved husband of the late Anna Maria Scapecchi; father of Catherine Vitez, Giuliana Cox and Lucia Croce. Also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Scapecchi served in the Italian military. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, December 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. Interment private. My prayers go out to Mr. Scapecchi's family today. He was a wonderful, intelligent and creative man of dignity and I'm so grateful I got to know him better this year. He shared stories of his life and in turn, years of wisdom with me that I won't forget. He was a great neighbor, a fair and thoughtful human being, and I loved him. Never fear, Giovanni was here and now he is near
