Janet Swearingen Dennis (Age 84)  
Passed away on January 20, 2019. Janet resided in Silver Spring, MD and passed to the arms and care of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Janet was born March 21, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Col. Victor Clarence Swearingen and Beth (Elliott) Swearingen. She is predeceased by her parents and beloved husband Perry Leroy Dennis. Janet is survived by her daughter Beth Anne Reynolds; son David Swearingen Dennis; her grandchildren Donald Parks, Andrew Parks, Ashley Parks, Jessica Reynolds; and great-grandchildren Roman and Rhea; and sister-in-law Donna Dennis Mitchell. Janet was a graduate of George Washington University, Washington, DC and Ohio Wesleyan, Delaware. After graduation she worked on Capitol Hill for several prominent Senators and Committees. She was a remarkable woman who lived life to the fullest and made an impact on all who knew her. Janet will surely leave a gaping hole in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace. So glad I got to know you Jan Dennis. I will miss stopping by to check on you. You were a smart and elegant Lady who will be dearly missed by your friends at St Paul's UMC.
