PATRICIA WEAVER Obituary
Patricia Rahn Weaver
Passed away peacefully on January 24, 2019, with her daughters by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Santa Monica, CA on July 2, 1948 to Alice and William Rahn. The family returned to Montgomery County MD, where she later graduated from Springbrook High School in 1966. After graduation, Patricia began what would be a 49 year career with Montgomery County Public Schools. Her last 20 years were spent at her beloved Paint Branch High School, where she was a much-loved secretary, and after retirement, a Special Education Substitute. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Weaver in 2014, and father William Rahn in 2016. She is survived by her mother Alice Rahn, daughter, Amy Sanchez, step-daughter, Dina Weaver, step-grandchildren, Tabitha and Matthew Schrader, brother, Bruce Rahn, sister, Suzanne Rahn, step-mother, Peggy Rahn and many loving relatives. She had a delightful, engaging personality, loved the beach and all of nature's creatures. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, February 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A private family service will be held February 6. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to Montgomery Hospice, or Save the Bay Foundation.www.CollinsFuneralHome.com

Pat was the first person to greet me when I began my teaching career. She was the most positive person, made everyone feel welcomed, and was full of energy. She made a difference every day with the people she encountered. She will be missed.

Aunt Pat was one of the nicest souls to ever walk this earth. You just always knew that you were going to be happier after you saw her. She had the effect on people. I was blessed to have my aunt working in my elementary school, and then later in my high school. Everybody loved "Mrs. Weaver"... and she loved them back. She will be missed incredibly.

I always looked forward to seeing you at school when I was growing up and you were our secretary. Everyone at school loved you and I was always so proud to say that you were my aunt. While I wish it could have been longer, I am thankful that my kiddos were fortunate enough to get to know such a kind, loving and strong woman. We love you and miss you aunt Pat.
